Muda, one of the attractions of Comporta

Comporta belongs to the Alentejo and is a village of Portugal that is only 1h15 minutes away from Lisbon.

This village, characterised by its blue and white tones and the giant storks’ nests, is sought after by tourists who like to enjoy the silence.


With its extensive coastline area, the beaches are diverse: Praia do carvalhal, praia do pego, praia da comporta, praia da raposa, praia do pinheirinho, praia dos brejos are some of the many beaches that the coast offers.  The activities grow from year to year: from surf classes, wildlife watching, horseback riding, boating and yoga are some of the many other activities.

Muda, a place on National Road 261 between Grândola and Carvalhal, where only the locals used to live. Since the famous sublime hotel was created, this village has gained another notoriety. Today, it is surrounded by other hotels.and it is a place in the middle of nature, surrounded by rolling stone pines, cork oaks and rice fields! It is perfect for those looking for pure relaxation. However, the village of Muda is still not provided with many restaurants or activities, but these can easily be found in the neighbour villages or in the hotels.


It is a small village with a few options for restaurants, grocery and boutique stores.  The beach of Carvalhal is increasingly sought after for leisure or surfing. It has famous restaurants on the beach, and many of the accommodations have obstructed views of the rice fields. Only a 10-minute drive from the village of comporta, this village is perfect for those seeking quiet on their vacation .



Between the village of carvalhal and Comporta, we find brejos da carregueira. Is characterised because it presents a many luxury accommodations. Brejos, still growing is known for its almost wild natural beauty. The beach it is perfect for those who want to get away from the other more sought, is ideal for those seeking tranquility. The access to the beach is made by a beaten road. The center of this village has simple but good restaurant options, but around it you can find other options.


Melides is just 20 minutes away from Comporta and is increasingly searched and sought after by tourists. Its small center presents options of snacks, restaurants and reveals the identity of the region in the houses around it. A real charm!

Melides beach, mostly wild, has rocks and cliffs that make this a unique scenery.  Its large sandy beach separates the ocean from the melides lagoon. Melides is a village surrounded by rice fields and presents the diversity of fauna and flora that the Alentejo region offers.

Comporta village is located, in fact in a very extensive area of beaches, centers and other villages. Easily explored by car or for the more adventurous by bicycle, the sceneries are unique and breathtaking.
